This book has a deceiving cover. Although the exterior is bland, the interior is one of San Diego's classiest treasures. Westgate Hotel is popular with foreign dignitaries for good reason. The awe-inspiring décor is rich, almost decadent. French tapestries, Napoleonic statues and antiques, original works by Gainsborough and Boucher, hand-cut Baccarat crystal chandeliers, and a dramatic marble staircase only hint at the hospitality and formality this grand hotel offers its guests.

The Westgate stands out as an oasis of luxury, beauty and old fashioned customer service in the heart of the Gaslamp District of San Diego. All Grand America hotels are unusual in that they prioritize luxury, quality and exceptional service. They must be a great place to work too because staff work there for years. This hotel is amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and clean the attached workout facility and pool that you have access to is absolutely amazing. Excellent location as well just outside of gaslamp District.
Great location. Excellent service. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Wonderful musicians on Thursday night during dinner. Could have stayed for hours listening to the music and songs. Room face trolling station and heard horn for hours.Room was very nice otherwise.
This is a great hotel. The beds were comfortable. The room was cleaned every day. The desk staff was very helpful.
Sehr nobles Hotel in San Diego. Zu Fuß ist man innerhalb 10- 15 Minuten im Gaslamp Quater oder am Hafen. Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig. Das Bad ist nochmals unterteilt in Dusche mit Toilette und das Bad. Leider war es auch hier so das Dr Feuermelder Nachts Geräusche von sich gegeben hat. Da wir eine Verbindungstüre zum anderen Zimmer hatten sind wir morgens um sechs geweckt worden da in diesem Zimmer 10 Minuten der Wecker geklingelt hatte.
