0 stars would be more accurate. As another reviewer commented, Westgarth Wines is, in my opinion, neither a reliable nor reputable wine retailer. I placed an order in August, 2021 with an estimated 60-90 day arrival. I followed up by email several times requesting the status of my order. I received no response. What I did receive, however, were unsolicited sales calls asking me how I enjoyed the wine I had ordered (and never received). Very questionable business practices. Found the wine I wanted, ordered it and then was told it could take 4 months to get it. I told them I don't want to wait 4 months for this wine, I received an email back that said basically too bad so sad we do not offer refunds. SO I am at their mercy on when I get the product but they have already received their money. 4 MONTHS!!!! Definitely the last purchase from this place.
These guys are amazing. They managed to find bottles of 1994 LeFleur. We have placed six orders with them and will continue to do so. Can’t wait for our next shipment.
Westgarth offers interesting wines across the various regions of France, which are my exclusively focus. Their multiple bottle offerings are for folks who are serious about wine and want to experience a age worthy wine over time. Another positive is that some of the older vintages they offer can difficult to find other places without relying on auctions. You always have to price compare on sites like wine-searcher to evaluate all in value of availability/price/shipping cost.
