One of the worst experiences I’ve had with a medical provider in a long time. If you are considering eye surgery, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Thayer was extremely disappointing. I found him to be very brief and dismissive, and he did not seem willing to take the time to listen to or address my concerns. I can't praise Dr. Thayer enough for taking my case. (I was referred to him through his wife, Dr. Nathalie Rioux who is also an ophthalmologist and upon examining the extent of my cataract felt that Dr. Thayer could handle it better.) And handle it better he did! He said he had never (or seldom? I forget) seen such an extreme cataract as mine, but I'm sitting here with two functioning eyes now thanks to his skill and patience. Had cataract surgery December and January both eyes and couldn't be happier. I'm 72-years-old an my vision is presently 20/15 distance, 20/16 mid vision, and J1+ for near vision. Service, polite, and knowledgeable. No complaints. Would definitely recommend.
