I thought I was the only one experiencing the issue of constant verification for an a/c that I had previously sent money. WU is turning into a scam - committing to send in minutes and then hold the money for days with some BS reasons.
Astonishingly bad customer service. Trying to send to someone who I have been sending to for a while, they keep wanting more and more proof including now having the receivers front and back of their government ID for a couple of days now and they have not sent them the money yet! This is beyond stupid. They cancelled previous sends with no explanation to me, I had to redo them and then they claimed they were doing it for my protection. Friends !!! be careful with Western Union, Never use this service .. they have eaten my 2100 USD which I sent to my son in USA.. i am trying to getting back this amount from last 15 days but not yet succeeded... BE CAREFUL !!!!
I had an account with WU and used them regularly. I tried to send money to the Philippines and got an error code response. When I called I was told I tried to send too much money. It was less than $100. When I looked into it further I was told that my account was suspended but no one could explain why. I was then told to go online and complete a “reinstatement” form.
