I’m writing this review because I was woken up at 3 AM by the sound of fire trucks and the smell of burning plastic. Fearing the building was on fire, I got up and dressed as quickly as possible—only to discover that the fire wasn’t inside an apartment, but in the hallway. A homeless individual had started a small campfire inside the building. This incident has left me seriously concerned for the safety of myself and other residents. While I love the front office people there is a real problem with the homeless here. I've lived here 4 years because it's what I can afford, every one of those years the gates have not worked and security services have not done anything to help me deal with legitimate safety concerns. As I write this review there are homeless people smoking meth in the communal hallway/stairwell this very moment, and I wish I could say this is a one off issue but I have this happen on a weekly basis outside my front door. I lived here for about 2 years. I also worked there for five years. Here’s my two cents: demolish the motel next door and that will fix the homeless problem… pay your rent on time and the landlords will have more capital to fix gates and potholes. Super easy.
