his company is a joke! Very hard to get answers and file appeals they hide behind recordings and I have had 12 different agents in 20 years. I’m paying a higher premium because of a rating I was given. After 17 years of being extremely healthy I requested to get the rating removed and had their nurse conduct a physical on me. Never ever got the results from that. Requested to get it lowered again the next year and I was just told by a phone rep that corporate sent an internal memo not to me that I am not eligible for an appe... read more

I have a three (3) year fixed annuity with Western Southern. During a recent review of my RMD withdrawal notifications, via the online 'View Documents' folder for my account, I was presented with my account information along with the account informnation of another client. Abviously, that wasn't good. It provided the name, address, account number, current b!lance and recent withdrawal information for the other customer. Opps! My advice......'Stay Clear!'.

My 91 year old mother in Law took out a policy for my brother in law since 1995 for $4000. My mother has paid into this policy $3074.00. She became sick late last year and I had to start paying the bills and had to piece everything together from her bank account. There were two monthly policy's one for $9.70 and another $9.71. I did not realise at the time that it was different policies. I missed 2 payments and when I realised it contacted them to pay the two months. I pay my bills as they come. Western & Southern has always billed as through the mail. Not too long ago I realized I hadn't received a W & S bill for awhile. I checked my bank account and it had been a year since I had made a payment OR RECEIVED A BILL AND WE HAD NOT MOVED. We called W & S and they said our policy that we had been paying on for almost 20 years had been cancelled due to non payment. We regret the confusion with the payments. The policy has been reinstate and added to recurring credit card, which allows Mr. or Mrs. *********to monitor the policy’s activity. If the credit card expires or payment is declined, they should receive a notification from their bank and/or credit card issuer. They will also receive a letter from our office advising of a returned payment.

Whatever you do, do (NOT) use Western And Southern. Absolutely horrible experience! If I could give a rating of less than 1, I would. What follows is only a summary of todays experience. This doesn't take in account the untold number of phone calls back and forth, starting in mid Oct 2020. So here's the quick backstory: My mom passed on 10.09.20 and today is 02.09.21 and still no life insurance payment issued to one of the 2 registered beneficiaries. I’m on the phone with my grandmother who purchased a policy from this company. The policy was $3,000. She has paid over $9,000 for this policy at this point. It is set for automatic payment. Even though the policy has been completely paid money is still being pulled from her account and they’ve told her she can’t get any of this money back and it doesn’t go towards a new policy. I have no idea how to keep this company from further taking advantage of my grandmother or how to get her money back. Please help.

This company allowed a ex employee ( relative) to access my policy and make changes to it. I've been had this policy for over 13 years and the payments come directly out of my account every month for over 13 years. My sister wrote this policy for me when she was an employee there. Never got a paper copy because I trusted her and was doing her a favor to get her numbers up. So I got a policy for my mother. I was the benifesary because it was a policy that i bought and she said she couldn't be because she wrote the policy. So ... read more
