western market is the best. not only do they have fresh fruits and veggies, delicious deli items, and great bread...and their employees are helpful all this on addition to being a part of the ferndale community. always giving and helping
Love the eclectic variety of goods. My favorites: the homemade fruit bread, the Living Zen kale salad, Hamtramck made kielbasa, fresh baked bread sliced to order, house made honey roasted peanut butter, bulk salted almonds, Sy Ginsberg's corned beef, reasonably priced Garlic Expressions dressing, Bay's english muffins.. You get the point!
My very favorite grocery store. I was so sorry to have to move away from it. Best veggies, fruits and extensive meat counter. And their wine guys are the best around. Miss you Western!

Best meat department by a long shot, with the darned best Italian meatballs. Best grocer-brand pies. Best wine selection. Best coffee selection. Good cheese selection. Our family loves you!
