I had a serious emergency with an infection below a root canal that HAD to be done the day before I left on a 46-day cruise from New York to Europe and back. My dentist was also on vacation, but he had a substitute who saw me and referred me to the top oral surgeon in Westchester. Dr. Jeffrey I. Stein extracted the tooth, cleaned up the infection, and did a bone graft . Awful experience. Dr. Caruso was condescending and insulting. Keep looking for a different provider.
Although Dr. Stein may be a good surgeon/dentist, he sorely lacks empathy. My experience was extremely stressful during procedure. He became annoyed with me and had his assistants (who were wonderful) calm me down. He then came back into the room and apologized. Maybe he had a bad day but no matter the patient needs to be comfortable and feel completely safe. I would not recommend him for this reason.
I am absolutely thrilled with Dr. Levarek an her staff. They are caring- professional- respectful and knowledgeable. Dr. Levarek is incredible with her ability to do difficult procedures with minimal to no pain. I just want to thank everyone. What a wonderful experience I had at the dentist!!!!

Awesome!! Dr. Levarek is the best oral surgeon around!! Her personality is always the best. Her and her staff make you feel very welcomed. I always recommended her to my friends and family.
Dr. Levarek is the most upfront and caring doc I have ever visited. She has great bedside manor, is very professional, and skilled hands. She not only informed me about every step of my procedure, her staff checked in with me before my appointment, and she checked in on me afterward my procedure. I dont know what this other "unhappy!" review is talking about below. Dr. Levarek is the best, more should be like her.
First Visit - Awful/ stressful experience! Dr Rachel Levered is NOT very nice. I went in with a referral and full mouth XRAYS. She did not want to use another DR x-ray, and insisted doing her own. Did not let me leave w/o paying for Xrays and for COPay of insurance, even after I told her my insurance has no copay. Refused to give me a referral for her findings, refused to write her findings for a 2nd opinion. !
