Worst experience ever. First off, my son was not sent there as court order or under any bad circumstances. His toiletries were taken. He was told they were a privelege. He wasn't allowed shower shoes. He wasn't given deodorant. They didn't seem to be concerned about diagnosis but medication. No.
My mother was admitted here involuntarily through our local Burke Center back in October of 2012. First, they did not contact us to let us know she had arrived until two days later. When contacted, both my father and I were not allowed to know anything about what was going on. Somewhat understandable because of health privacy, but they told me that the only way I could talk to someone and find out anything was if my mother allowed it. I Was sent to this hospital i had to stay there for 7 days and 6 nights It Was Horrible!! You could hear screaming at night!! The Kids Talked back to the adults the adults cursed at the kids it took them 4 hours to get me a room! they tried crushing my pills in my food i was only allowed 5 min phone calls. maybe one day they will read this and remember the girl who was in their for selfharm. -Megan
Horrible!!! This company does not pay their bills and is very poorly managed. One reviewer noted that trash was mounded up on their property. The reason for this is that they have not paid their trash bill. Worst of the worst!!!
I went to admit my son here. Intake took 5 1/2 hours while the girls at the intake desk talked on their cell phones and chatted about their court dates and warrants they had for their arrest. Then I go upstairs where my 12 year old son would be staying. The charge nurse was very rude to me. looking out the window from upstairs i could see their fenced in yard.
