It’s the Sunday before the Monday celebration for Memorial Day. I need a prescription for an infection before Tuesday! I’m new to west Wichita. Don’t want to be tied up in an ER for hours. I’m a patient of West Wichita Family Physicians so when I can I go to their minor emergency center. They have my records and it makes things easier for all of us. I fell and injured my ribs and when I went to the clinic, the physician said well you know football players break their ribs all the time and they go back into the game and play. I did not find that very reassuring as I am 63 years old. I felt like there was zero empathy coming from the doctor. I felt like he was too much Dr and not enough person. I've used this walk in clinic several times for respiratory illnesses. They have the ability to perform chest X-rays on site which is a bonus. The staff are friendly and the care received has been top notch.
