Established in 1940. West Seattle Brake Service was opened by my grandfather, Ellis Thompson, in 1940 and was originally located at 3900 W Alaska in West Seattle. The phone was WE-9617. In 1950 my granddad moved to our current location at 4464 37th Ave SW where we have been since. My dad, Bill Thompson (Red), owned and operated West Seattle Brake Service from 1967 until I became proprietor in 1989.
