Half the crabs were dead (as in cooked already dead/bad) and majority were Louisiana mud crabs, when we addressed our issues to them, they said “they weren’t cooked dead, they must just taste and smell that way because of what they ate..” idk about u all but i don’t think crabs eat ammonia or bleach because that’s what they tasted/smelled like, as any dead cooked crab does..

Hi Rachel. I am the owner of Westpointe. I was the one answering the phone yesterday and never received a phone call from you. Hopefully you are not confusing our crab house with another. Unfortunately, that often happens. We DO NOT steam dead crabs at my store. I am sorry you had a bad experience. We would have happily replaced your bad crabs if you would have brought them back to the store the day of purchase. Lastly, ALL local crab places also sell Louisiana crabs not just ours and we have never had issues.

Everything is always great here! We ordered last weekend and everything was perfect! Crabs were heavy and yummy! Never disappointed!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The crabs are always steamed to perfection and that seasoning...we can't get enough! Hands down the best crabs in Frederick.
yesterday was my first time ordering crabs here. I had my doubts but it's close and I was craving crabs. I bought a dozen. They were perfectly cooked. Only one out of the dozen was light. the others were full to the max. Woman working the counter was very friendly. I will be returning!
Have been going here for over 10years. Crabs and shrimp are always tasty and resonably priced. Just wish they could accept food stamps again seems how the only way to get to your food is TOGO. I'll take it uncooked if I have too.

We came from Ohio to visit family and ordered half bushel of crabs and I'll have to tell you seeing this review, they were the best crabs that I have eating. they were seasoned with old bay and they were so full of meat the best I have ever eaten from the state of Maryland
