2025/03/03 It is not a good place to work for a registered nurse. They hire registered nurses, probably for compliance reasons, but make each nurse take care of over 45 patients. Even before the RN is done caring for 1 patient, they are called to the next patients room. To make things worse, RN certified nurses are expected to pick up trash from the 45 patients' rooms if the trash is full. Pay for nurses is almost 38$ per hour. Above and beyond - the staff helped my 71 year old sister get her cell phone functional. Courtney helped work with AT&T so i could get my relative's past due bill paid and communication restored. I am out of state, so their assistance is much appreciated.
Please do not send your loved one to West Oaks. My dad was transferred there after a hospital stay and due to their poor admission process (none at all) and their lack of review of my dad’s medications, he was given 4x the amount of insulin needed. This put him into a diabetic coma and sent him back to the hospital within 30 hours of being at West Oaks. On top of this I witnessed an employee wheel a patient outside and belittling and yelling at her. I’m sorry to all those who receive this kind of treatment at this facility.
