I would not recommend taking the weight loss surgery through west medical. Every appointment to talk to a doctor or for anything was through a phone call. I never went to a Cardiologist for heart Clarence For my weight loss surgery, they did an ekg the day of my surgery and if it was working enough then that’s all they were okay with. I Went through this program for eight months and NEVER MET my surgeon, only met him the of day of my surgery. The doctor was only available To do the surgery in LA, not here in Bakersfield. I had a terrible experience with west medical . Don't get me wrong the surgery was perfect and it did the job. However, they neglected to tell me that my insurance didn't pay as much as they wanted. So I ended up with a bill in the thousands of dollars after I already paid them out of pocket a couple thousand, they sued me for the rest of the money even though it was them telling me not to worry about it, everytime I questioned if my insurance was going to cover everything.
