I was diagnosed with Psoriasis in August of 2016 and after seeing (7)Dermatologists and (1) Alternative Medicine doctor in the Katy and Houston areas, I found Dr. Stephen Mahoney on "youtube.com" while searching for Best Doctors in the Houston and it's surroundings areas that treat Psoriasis. I began to â??break outâ?? in itching and scabby extrusions on my lower extremities, especially my ankles and feet. Two local dermatologists diagnosed my problem as Exema. Their prescribed topical meds failed to work and my feet began to crack open and made walking almost impossible and painful. After years of trying to find a dermatologist that could ease my daughters severe eczema, we found Dr. Mahoney. After only our first visit, he put her on a treatment plan that had immediate positive results. He went outside of the usual steroid creams and ointments and put her on an oral medication that has been working. She has suffered with severe eczema since she was around 6 and now at 11, she is finally getting some relief.

I have been scratching for 10 years and no one has been able to help me. I've gone from one doctor to another. Finally I found Dr. Mahoney and his fantastic staff. He was able to work hard and find the cure for me. I've been so miserable and seen over 9 doctors and he was the only one that cared and listened. He really helped me! Couldn't be happier with him and his office!

I cannot believe I have found a dermatologist to treat my psoriasis. I have had psoriasis for over 50 years and have had numerous dermatologists. Dr. Mahoney did more to treat my psoriasis in just one week than all the other doctors have done in those 50 years. He listens to you and prescribes meds that will work for you. I am almost psoriasis free after just one visit. I realize that psoriasis is a chronic condition and will probably recur. I have had psoriasis for 15 years and acne since I was a teen and its under control more than ever with Dr. Mahoney, I can definitely say he is the best dermatologist I have found in Hawaii, Los Angeles,Houston, Austin or Dallas. If you are tired of bouncing from doctor to doctor looking for a cure, Dr. Mahoney will help you.

Dr Mahoney and his staff are professional, helpful and mindful of my time and needs. About two years ago, Dr Mahoney suggested I try Stelara. Two years of skin clear of psoriasis plaques on my arms and legs has been life changing. From 7 to 70 years old, I have used OTC lotions and creams, Taclonex, Trexall, Clobetasol Propionate Ointment, Olux Methotrexate, Humira, etc. You name it, I have tried it and never fully cleared. I went to Dr Mahoney's office to speak with someone about my acne. I am a little skeptical about how much I paid. Somehow I ended up paying $70 for the visit (normally I pay $35 for specialists) but they added some extra fees to my bill. Also, I paid over $300 for a few topical creams, even with insurance and the "coupons" they gave me that were supposed to help bring the cost down.
