Extremely disappointing and unacceptable ER experience. I came to the emergency room feeling extremely sick and was left sitting in a chair for hours because I was told there were no beds available. Being seriously ill and having to sit for hours without being given a bed or appropriate comfort was extremely distressing. Attention to patient needs is apparently not a priority at UCLA West Hills. I have been here approximately 3 hrs, in a small waiting room and only one person came by because some doctor had ordered an ultrasound. Despite the severity of his condition, we were required to wait in line for registration and were treated the same as patients with non-emergency illnesses. As a concerned father, I voiced my concerns about the situation. Instead of addressing the emergency, security instructed me to leave despite my son's serious medical co... read more
