Extremely abusive nurses that work in the ER. I am in shock at how my mother was spoken to at 88 years old. They didn’t know I heard the conversation because my mom had her phone on. The nurse that spoke to my mother so abusively is the nurse Wednesday, January 7 at 6 am. I actually called back and spoke with the same nurse. She was extremely abusive to me. When I mean abusive, it’s no joke. This nurse needs to be fired. I am going to follow up on this situation. I’m not letting it go.
Where can start? Er nurses do not even tell you what medication they are giving you , I had to ask them. 2/ I had to advocate for myself BP 230/120 and nothing was done for over an hour until I asked them to retake my BP????? And still high an hour later. No urgency. Then they proceed to say oh we will give you an ekg to cover ourselves 🤔. Had to request for a BP med smh. 3/ on my discharge summary paper they was an admitted doctor name I have never seen or spoken to. Please do better west Henderson hospital.
Quick and on point response to food allergy anaphylaxis. I'm glad I live close to this hospital. They got me into a bed quickly, and then immediately moved me closer to the nurse's station once a room opened up. With anaphylaxis, things can be fine and then go haywire again, so seconds count. They listened to my concerns about some of the medications they wanted me to take when I got home and suggested alternatives with fewer gnarly side effects. My NP and nurses were wonderful. This is about the 5th time my husband or I used the West Henderson Hospital Emergency Room. I do not understand the negative reviews. On each visit, we were immediately taken to a room-NO WAITING. A real doctor saw us in a timely fashion. All of the staff we saw were kind, intelligent, thorough hard working and encouraging. My friends who used this service agreed with me. I would never go anywhere else in an emergency.
They are barely open and slow. Going to emergency room is an exercise in patience. Bring food and reading materials- nothing happens there urgently.
