Quick and on point response to food allergy anaphylaxis. I'm glad I live close to this hospital. They got me into a bed quickly, and then immediately moved me closer to the nurse's station once a room opened up. With anaphylaxis, things can be fine and then go haywire again, so seconds count. They listened to my concerns about some of the medications they wanted me to take when I got home and suggested alternatives with fewer gnarly side effects. My NP and nurses were wonderful. This is about the 5th time my husband or I used the West Henderson Hospital Emergency Room. I do not understand the negative reviews. On each visit, we were immediately taken to a room-NO WAITING. A real doctor saw us in a timely fashion. All of the staff we saw were kind, intelligent, thorough hard working and encouraging. My friends who used this service agreed with me. I would never go anywhere else in an emergency.
They are barely open and slow. Going to emergency room is an exercise in patience. Bring food and reading materials- nothing happens there urgently.
UPDATE - JUST SAW MY ENDOCHRONOLOGIST, THE DR WHO MANAGES MY PITUITARY DISEASE AND HE SAID THE HOSPITAL SHOULD HAVE ADMITTED ME TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON! - If you're a patient with a simple emergency or a superstar athlete you'll get good care. If your medical history and active diagnosis are complex go to Mountain View. The nurses and techs are great here at West Henderson and my mom has received great care as a senior, however, my ER doctor had a God complex, blew me off as I attempted to explain my history, repeatedly... read more
