We went there today at 2:25ish (1/10/25) with my wife to return an overhead light. When we walked in with the bulky box there was no greeting and in fact there was a white male sales associate probably in his 40s with tattoos and glasses just talking to a personal friend (older woman) about a friend who lived in Brooklyn. I had an issue with the item and the staff was so kind and helpful. The store of course should have a higher rating but most people are so apt to post a negative review. Thank you so much West Elm staff of Vernon Hills for your always being patient and kind.

Went to store12/12 at 5:30 pm, I returned my items right after I purchased it because I didn’t like two of the staff attitude, if it wasn’t for Audrey, who rang me up with the returned item, I would not go back to this location!

I have been to this location twice now and had the same experience. No one greets you or acknowledges your existence. I went in today with my father to look at sofas. We were ignored the whole time before we finally just walked out. Even Bob's discount furniture has far better customer service.

Not the friendliest staff and not very welcoming either. I only come here because it’s 5 mins from my house as opposed to driving 45 minutes to the city. This location needs to do better.
