After 5 years we are changing offices. The office has a system that requires confirmation via text for all appointments and my husband and I are both military that travel constantly and work in environments where we don’t always have our phones. We have 4 children (so lots of appointments) and come home from overseas twice now to cancelled appointments because we didn’t send a confirmation text. Been with them for 10 years. The practice has grown worse each time a new practitioner came in, but I stayed, mostly due to inertia. Yesterday, I received a text, an email and a voice mail about a past due amount that I was not aware of. The voice mail asked me to take care of it since it was soon going to collections. When I called the office this morning, they shared that the amount due was due to reaching an insurance limit that they just learned about yesterday. Rude front office staff and subjective adherence to office policies. We've been taking our sons to this office for years, never once missed an appointment. Our most recent appointments we're cancelled without notice because we supposedly didn't "confirm" the appointment via text. Even though we did. And we've never had to do that previously. The new "practice manager" indicated that she had "reimplemented " a more strict cancellation policy due to issues they were having with excessive cancellations. poor customer service and communication. eventually i end up having to speak with the dentist in order to resolve issues. the people at the front desk just want to blame everything on the customer. i had a prior billing issue a couple years ago with the dentist office that was finally resolved. i told them in the future any procedures and costs will have to be verified by my insurance company before service. they said they were sorry and will start doing that in the future. well two years later it has happened again. ... read more

I have been a patient for over 10 years. Sadly, I watched a skilled, caring well managed practice go very bad. The original dentist had to sell the practice to a corporate group because of family illness. In just the past couple years, I have seen 3 dentist changes, 4 office mg'r changes and so many staff change I lost count- guess what that tells you.
