We came to Werntz on a recommendation from our neighbor. So glad we came. The staff is top notch; the vets are skilled and professional. I totally trust my dog's care to them!
Excellent vet clinic in a hidden corner of Penn Hills. They can handle almost any diagnostic situation but will tell you if a specialist is needed. The techs are warm and caring with our dogs, and Dr. Sherer gives me the time I need to talk about care and treatment. Even with the pandemic, they’ve been open and helpful through it all. I highly recommend if you live in Penn Hills, Verona, Oakmont, Wilkinsburg and Homewood.
Saw my service dog same day I called. Awesome thank you. My service dog became lame over weekend and they got her in Monday morning. She was given meds and was walking the next day.
Very accommodating and thorough. Been taking our pets there for decades. Staff is very professional and compassionate.

How much I love this place. A hidden vet gem in Pittsburgh. I can tell Dr. Sherer truly cares about my pup pup’s well being. He has been extremely informative, conservative, and thoughtful while restoring my dog back from an emergency situation to total health. The staff is also courteous, kind, and prompt. I would highly recommend Werntz to any animal lover. Thank you! 🙏
Down to earth, professional and friendly. Saturday hours by appointment, which is helpful when you can't wait until Monday but don't need/can't afford emergency vet care. Good people!!
