My wife loves the hallmark Christmas movie genre, and the variations thereof. We spent three wonderful days at Wendego Lodge this summer. The location is amazing - quiet and peaceful. The cottages are simple but clean and well-equipped. We spent our time fishing and swimming and just enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Melanie is the most amazing host - do not miss out on her sourdough bread and muffins if you have the opportunity! We would definitely return!
Went there with my group of friends for Labor Day weekend, we all had a blast! Owners are awesome and helpful. It is remote so make sure you come prepared. They have starlink at the lodge and some minis for rent, as well as portable battery generators. The cabins are very basic but get the job done. Plenty of boats for rent at very reasonable prices. The road up there is rough,especially if it rains, but only the last 10k or so, id bring a truck or SUV.
Took my kids and my dogs up to Wendego for a few nights stay and it was exactly what we needed! Melanie was so friendly and accommodating during our stay. I would definitely recommend going to Wendego!
Beautiful place! It was the perfect July get away for our family of five. We will definitely be back.
