I was apprehensive to have a bunionectomy and hammer toe repair because of the stories I have heard. I am in the middle of the process and couldn’t be happier with her and her team. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and explains it well to someone who does not work in the field. When questions arise her PA Alyssa is incredibly prompt in answering on my Penn medicine and putting my mind at ease. Being in the hands of such professionals makes this process so much easier to navigate. Thank you!
Dr. Chao and her staff were the best medical professionals I have ever had the honor of receiving healthcare from which is really saying something. Just went for my follow up about my right ankle, I was concerned about getting my right ankle fused after talking to her and her assistant I feel very confident that she will do a great job and my pain will go away.she also did my left ankle before and I don’t have any pain at all for years

I had 10 mos to get my left Achilles tears together w the help of Dr C and her Pt Allyssa who take care, patience and great followup to all my questions. It took time physical therapy maybe 6 mos to get back. Now I am pain free.
