This place is horrible, I have made a whole list of what made my experience suck. One patient (my friend) who stayed at Wellstone is allergic to tide, which is what they use to "wash" their clothes, towels, and other things. The night staff tried to force her to shower and use the towels that were washed in tide saying "oh well give you something of you really do break out" which first of all, why are you trying to make said patient shower is a laundry detergent they're allergic to? Wellstone was a class act! From the beginning of walking in met with the receptionist and then security. Security ( Cole ) was welcoming and walked me through the admissions process with care and compassion. My initial assessment was done politely and with a feeling of comfort. Once on the Adult unit I was treated professionally with the treatment and respectfully with the techs. Left this place more traumatized than when I went in. The process from the beginning feels like they care, but once you get to the actual inpatient area the facade slips away. Witnessed certain staff members be unkind to me and others. The only time you will get "care" is from a half listening psychiatrist who talks to you for a few minutes and then blows you off. The "group activities" are inconsistent and unorganized. Would not recommend Wellstone for anyone going through a rough time.
Terrible. Would never recommend. I was there for 6 hours before seeing a nurse, doctor, therapist....anyone! I was admitted and there was zero structure. Meds, breakfast, sleep, snack, sleep, lunch, sleep, snack , sleep, dinner, sleep, meds,sleep. Saw an actual Dr for around 5 min total , two times in the five days I was there. Staff was rude. Complete disaster.
