Wellmed has created a nightmare of a once good practice. We liked our doctor a great deal, but he left the practice. We tried to stay with the new doctor he recommended, but unless some changes are made very soon we will leave as well. The staff does not respond to repeated calls for help. I required an order from my doctor to be faxed to a mammography location. The office kept saying the fax was sent, but the mammogram place never received it. I was a long standing patient of Dr. Ansari and, for the most part, was pleased with his care. Then WellMed got involved and it's been all downhill since. It wasn't long before, on short notice, Dr. Ansari was reassigned to other duties within the company. Thankfully he was replaced by Dr. Kabututwa, another very competent physician. Now I've learned that Dr. Kabututwa is also being reassigned and will no longer be seeing patients at this location. So much for consistent medical care. Like many reviews, the doctor is great. The rest of the staff that I interacted with seem like they hate life and actively try to make your life worse. This was my first time trying in-person doctors for mental health. I wasn't aware that I needed to make regular check-ups. Each time I needed a refill, I called and someone filled it with no mention of making an appointment. I went to pick up my meds one Friday, and nothing was there. Too late to call up. I just wanted to say that the Kadirex at the front Ashley B. and Carmen are extremely nice and efficient of what they. WellMed is very lucky to have them. I also want to say that Dr. Rufino Talatala is one of the best in the business as well as Merin Babu that in his absence sees me. Nice clean office, front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. I have only met with JJ the Physician Assistant and she is very nice and takes time to listen and doesn't rush off. I really appreciate how she answers all my questions and makes sure that I understand what we're doing going forward before she leaves the room.
