this is not the welcome diner. this is a pretentious restaurant ran by out of staters, using a staple name that has been synonymous with Roosevelt row for decades. These people come in, bulldozed our organic community garden, just so they can prey on the college kids that don't know how to take care of themselves or manage their money properly in the neighborhood. 16 bucks for a sausage plate? "Imported" meats from Colorado? I guess supporting local businesses was too much for these out of staters to handle.

Great place. Love the vibe and atmosphere. They keep it very clean. I got the welcome breakfast and Chris got the special which was the chorizo egg mix. We also got the hibiscus lemonade (very delicious) and ginger beer (also very delicious!) we even caved and got a slice of pie and it was really good. Our server was very nice and personable.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming!

Welcome Diner means community and participation. Staff is always friendly and outgoing and the outdoor seating is relaxing and open. Great menu of creative comfort food distilled from Southern traditions.
