I had my LapBand surgery in July of 2012. The doctors and staff at WLIAZ have all been very helpful and supportive during my weight loss journey. Even though I have had a few set backs, I couldn’t ask for a better cheering squad. The multiple locations makes it extremely convenient for me to get an appointment just about any time I need one. The only thing I would have done differently is had my surgery at the Tempe location instead of at Banner Estrella – although a great hospital, it would have saved me out of pocket costs... read more
The staff is very friendly and i haven't waited long to be see at any of my appointments. Due to insurance restrictions have to wait 6 months but looking forward to continuing on this journey
I had started my weight loss journey with another facility. When it became apparent that I could not continue, for lack of funds, a friend, who had already been through WLIAZ, suggested I talk with WLIAZ. I did and they took me right in. When I decided to have the lap band surgery I thought it would be a quick fix. Even though at every pre-operative appointment Dr. DeBarros, Dr. Orris and their staff at WILAZ always told me there would still be work I need to do, I did not think that would apply to me… Boy was I wrong!
