RecommendedThey took care of my mother for four years. Not one bed sore which, if you have elderly parents, know is no small feat. I can not recommend this place highly enough. I fought my brothers re: keeping mom at home. But this was the absolute best decision we ever could have made.
My dad spent 2 1/2 years at Wedgewood. He passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019. We loved that this was a small facility. My dad was very well taken care of. It gave my family such peace knowing that he was in a place where people cared for and about him. They were so good to us when we visited. My mom got to know the caregivers and they treated her with such compassion and love. We were always greeted at the door by a friendly smile. 5 ***** As I'm on a plane flying away from my mother, I know I will not have to worry about her. I saw for myself the love and dedication shown not only to her but all the residents. It is evident they love what they're doing and it makes your place truly special. There aren't enough words I can say or stars I can give you for that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking good care of my mom who is also my best friend.
Wonderful personnel, great daily menu per family member, genuine and caring ownership, Nilo and Aurora are the best. Has more of a home feeling rather than institutional. Couldnt ask for more. If your truly concerned about personal care for your loved ones, this is the rout to go.
My wife works at this facility..she is very caring and kind with the residents..for instance, we were eating ice cream at a local fast food rest and she bought an extra ice cream for a special resident..she watches móvies with them, sings to them, and a lot more ..Aurora and Nilo are very kind people !!! I give theme 5 stars!!!!
The owners and staff at wedgewood truly know the meaning of compassion. They treat the residents and resident family members as though they were their own family. Amazing people, beautiful facility!

My Mother has been a resident at Wedgewood in Winter Haven since June 2016. Owners Aurora and Nilo, and their staff members, are all great. My Mom is well taken care of and the smaller facility size means my sisters, father and I are all very familiar with most of the staff. Having had less than stellar experiences at larger facilities around Polk Co. makes us appreciate Wedgewood of Winter Haven all the more.
