I had to go to Hancock Regional Hospital Emergency Room. They did not explain that this physician group did not accept Aetna or United Healthcare insurances; therefore I would be liable for the entire physician bill of $544.00. Thjis charge was for the physician to dilate my eye and prescribe antibiotic eyedrops. My insurance company said the normal charge is $297.00 for this service but the ER physician group did not have a contract with the above insurance companies.
