One of my favorite bakeries. The treats are delicious. They have tasty and healthy lunch options. And you can buy whole loaves and day olds. Strongly recommended.
Gluten Free items seem like an afterthought here. I came in while on a tour and after searching Google for somewhere with good gluten free options. Saw the cinnamon rolls and was sold. Got here around 12:30pm and there were no cinnamon rolls. Upon inquiring I was told they could give me a frozen one. No offer to heat it. Eventually decided on a gluten free brownie instead and a turkey provolone sandwich on gluten free bread. This place was a great find. We were a little early for our visit to the Meyer May House and, as such, decided to get a coffee and a treat ahead of our appointment. The location in the beautiful Heritage Hill District of Grand Rapids was central to the ambiance of this establishment. The vintage facility and simple decor were quite pleasant. Recently had the pleasure of working with Stephanie to coordinate the creation of my daughter's first birthday cakes. The theme was 'Berry First Birthday' and I sent in pictures of what I was hoping they would look like. What Wealthy Street created far exceeded my expectations and made us two beautiful cakes - one smash cake and one 'adult' cake in almond with blueberry filling.
