The Best Selection Winks has the best selection of hardware,different things, a virtual feast for anyone who like tools, hardware and interesting stuff. There is something for everyone. The staff is amazing and knows where everything is...wow
Great shop with awesome selection When my husband wanted an unusual type of carving knife it was suggested that Winks was the place to go. They not only had what he was looking for but the sales people gave him some very helpful alternatives. Definitely recommend.
A Hardware Fantasyland Place has to be seen to be believed. Unbelievable selection in terms of breadth and depth. Whenever I bring in some sort of grommet or obscure fastener or replacement part I'm always happy when they say "follow me" and off we traipse into the catacombs to look through the bins. The stuff that's arrayed around the front part of the place is amazing enough, but it's just mind-boggling how much more is behind the counters. It's like the stacks at Central Library.

I go way back! I remember the day that Winks bought the inventory of J.C. Hazeltine and acquired tons of old inventory in the process!I went there one time in search of a 1/4-28 X 2 1/2" long LEFT hand thread machine screw. Miss Winks ushered me to the basement as she turned on lights as we went. She walked to a shelf, reached up and grabbed a box. As she blew the dust off, she asked, "Is this what you want?" RecommendedFantastic, go-to HARDWARE PLACE. Friendly, expert staff and huge inventory of about any screw type and relevant material a person can think of. Because store staff gets out any item you desire, the screws are not mixed up - so you get all of the same kind of item. This is unlike stores that let customers mix things up ! A fine selection of other hardware items as well - a treasure trove of special finds too.
Friendly, helpful staff willing to get creative with customers about hardware solutions. I love this place!
Frustrated: W.C. Winks Hardware sorry you may have just lost my business...been doing business with you for 10 years...now all of a sudden i can't pay with a credit card over the phone and have someone pick up my order for me to avoid shipping costs! I was about to order multiple hundreds of dollars worth of hardware from you!
What a wonderful place! Very helpful team of friendly staff. They really tried to find some handles that are missing on my antique dresser. Special ordered what we decided to work, after being to 5 other stores before.
