Lived here for 6 years (only moved out because I found a great house)-I have nothing but good things to say about compass at city center. It’s in a great location, their maintenance team was prompt in addressing any issues, and the rent was reasonable. For anyone moving to Newport News this complex is a fantastic option
I honestly don't know about those low rating I've been living at compass going on 4 years and if it was as horrible as people say i would not be there definitely not for 3-4 years. the trash in the breezeway is never an issue in my bldg, and to address the roaches clean your apt simple i have none in mine. i do see some bigger roaches/waterbugs as they call them in the patio occasionally and there's a lake right there so its a given but i wouldn't say a problem.
