We move in. That same week there is a bedbug fumigation, can’t unbox anything becuase there’s no point. We work and finally start unboxing everything the following week. This week (September 3) we find not only bedbugs, cockroaches in the kitchen and ants everywhere. We know we didn’t bring bedbugs in as we’ve never come across any before in our life, so it has to be here meaning the fumigation was useless and did nothing.

Walls were not painted which is customary between residents. Unit had not been treated for cockroaches prior to move in, as they were not present until there was food for them. There are multiple safety issues including a broken door chain, some bent window screens, to name a few. As well I had asked about a parking pass, and have been self monitoring the parking lot, yet still keep being told that there are no parking spots.

The apartment was dirty. We were told between when the previous tenant moved out and we moved our daughter in they would be completing repairs, painting and fumigating the apartment. Nothing was painted and all the nails were still on the walls from things the previous renter had hung.
