The spot is very retro with a cool vibe...McKensie our waiter was SPECTACULAR!!! we paid HUGE for all the add ons to the grass fed burger...and it cost us!!! 28 bux!!! this is a hole in brooklyn NOT manhattan and still...it was mighty tasty...but the fries SUCKED...greasy not crunchy and they are advertised as "the best in brooklyn" please avoid at all costs.,,,bloody mary was passable but again at 10 bux I kinda expected more.
A lovely dining experience. Sat outside and watched the world go by, as I sipped on a delightful bourbon cocktail which I believe was made with chocolate biters and honey...beautiful decor, comfortable, warm and inviting..terrific staff and last, but not least, delicious food, delicately prepared - not bogged down in butter and grease. (The sea bass was wonderful!) Most definitely will be returning.
Watty & Meg is a moderate to upscale casual dining experience where you can relax with a glass of wine or a nice cold beer. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting while the decor is beautifully placed around the restaurant to make you feel at home. Don't get me start on the food and service. Al fresco dining at this charming neighbourhood restaurant was the highlight of our trip. We had fresh fish, stunning starters and wonderful wine. I highly recommend it!
I'm in love with their fried short ribs. Their tuna tartar is also delicious, and their burger is soooo good
