I have been a commercial customer of Waste Management and unfortunately my experience has been very frustrating. Over the course of our contract, we have encountered repeated billing issues and charges that required constant follow-up and dispute. Most recently, we were charged a contamination fee for shredded paper that had been placed in black bags in a recycling bin. I’ve attempted to cancel my service multiple times (3 calls, voicemails left) and have received no response. This account originated from an acquisition of my previous provider, and I have not received clear or responsive communication from Waste Management regarding cancellation. At this point, the lack of response is unacceptable. Customers should not have to chase down a company just to stop service.
