Fair sure isn't what it use to be. Overpriced on everything. In general was very boring. Food prices always go up in the amount get smaller. And it used to be a great place to go get crafts and homemade items which don't even exist anymore. Seems you just go to the fair to buy a hot tub anymore. Will not go back
The fair itself is always fun. Prizes games rides and vendors. The food prices are a little on the outrageous side. We went to the one Vendor just inside the Blue gate with the "Texas Sized" Turkey leg...it was almost $13.00. Overall fair food is good and worth what you pay for it. A bakers dozen scones $16.00 that is reasonable. $5.00 slice of Costco sized pizza, also good. Shop around before you settle. There are multiple vendors of the same food.
This fair is the perfect mix of country feel with a wine garden and a great concert venue. It's a must do for us every year :)
Bringing my kids to the fair and watching their excitement is an amazing joy.. But the fair isn't what I remember from growing up.. My wife was disappointed that their weren't any vendors outside and I was unhappy with the price and quality of our food choices.. It just doesn't give me the same feeling I've had for so many years.. I really hope this isn't the direction our beloved fair is heading in, bring back the one of a kind experience. Thank you for all the great memories
Had a great time with the family. Fair is timless fun.
Always enjoy the fair, but it's become so outrageously expensive. Sad to see the outside food vendors are no longer. $42 for a dizzy pass!?! Not sure how the average family with children can afford this anymore. I know I sure can't. Sigh.
Yes expensive, but the memories are priceless and it's only once a year. It's a tradition in my family and when I'm 80 I'll still be going!
The lack of crowds and the happy sales folks were fun to talk to. The dances and free concerts were wonderful! The art being produced is getting better each year, and the kids playing music rocked. But where are all the animals? One of each cow and the horses were cool, but not much else. The piggy palace was awesome as usual:)
Got cussed out by the people who run a game booth because we won... they said we cheated. How do you cheat at ski ball ?!?!?! Mind blown.
