Stay away from Wanamaker Tix Office! I recently sold my Eagles season tickets to them (Paul Conaway) and they knowingly wrote me a bad check for $2600 which bounced. They had no intention of ever contacting me to make payment for the tickets. I received my payment after threatening them with legal action.
Stay away. Far far away. They tread you like you are buying a used car. My "experience" with them recently left me missing more than $1600 that I cannot recover. They are petty thieves.
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! I BOUGHT TICKETS FOR 290.00 AND THEY DOUBLE CHARGED MY ACCOUNT. WHEN I CALLED ABOUT MY MONEY THEY SAID REST ASSURE THAT THE MONEY WOULD BE BACK IN MY ACCOUNT IN 72 HOURS. IT"S BEEN 10 DAYS AND I'M STILL WAITING. THEY SAY THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE I WENT THROUGH THIRD PARTY BUT ON MY STATEMENT IT STATES CLEARLY THE MONEY WAS TAKEN BY WANAMAKERS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY AND LESS YOU HAVE EXTRA MONEY YOU DON'T MIND NOT HAVING ACCESS TO.
Beware! hidden and exhorbitant fees. I was charged $258 for $165 face value tickets to Ringo Starr concert and a $108 "fee" was tacked on on top. Total $630 for two tickets. Never again from this broker.
I purchased tickets for Dralion (Cirque de Soleil) and was charged $95 for $69 tickets. When I called to complain, the person on the phone told me that the price reflected service charges, owed by me because I dealt with a third party (???). My invoice lists a service charge of $57, and states that the tickets were $95 each. I will never, ever, purchase tickets from Wanamaker's again; in fact, I am sending a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
I went to the Eagles concert the other night, it was one of those last minute decisions. So I called these guys up to see if there was anything available. Not only did they put me in unbelievably great seats, they also took the time to explain everything about the seat location and the procedure for picking up my seats. They even gave me a number to call after there business hours just in case I had any questions when I got there. I would like to thank the staff at Wanamaker Ticket Office for their FABULOUS Service!!! I purchase tickets for clients as well as myself throughout the year. The personal assistance that you receive from this staff is second to none! I have called many times on the same day as the event for seats, and they always are able to accomodate me! I was kind of bitter about having to come to a broker to buy my Phillies tickets because I usually just get them at Citizens Bank Park but wow I'll never buy anywhere else. I couldn't believe the difference it made to sit in these guys seats, it was like being at a little league game, they had seats for me 10 rows behind the visitors dugout and the were the best seats I've ever sat in and the prices were surprisingly fair and well worth paying a premium. Very proffessional folks working for Wanamaker. They've taken very good care of me on all my ticket needs. I can always depend on them to come through. I've referred them several friends & family whom only have good things to say as well. Wanamaker is very reasonable with their prices & they always go the extra mile when I'm in a pinch.
