I waited 6 months in agony to see him after having a horrible visit with a dismissive rheumatologist. I was hopeful he would help in some kind of way. He seemed very thorough during the visit. He did a lot of bloodwork. Called me and told me he couldn’t find anything and diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. He said he doesn’t recommend any drugs for it. Competent for my arthritis condition when I was an Emory student, but didn’t care for my goals (making varsity running team), cold personality, and extremely rude (left room in the middle of a question I was asking, pretended not to hear me).
Very compassionate. Very easy to talk to and he listens to me. Discusses options and making sure I understand completely.
My husband has been a patient of Jonathan Waltuck since 2005. He has a rare form of Vasculitis and Dr. Waltuck is not just a rheumatologist, but a specialist in this field. In 2012, my husband had reached a severely critical phase of the disease and Dr. Waltuck wanted to try an infusion using an older cancer drug. In 2017, he has gone from twice yearly to 0 infusions for over 24 months! It is Jonathan's ability to "think out of the box" and try new methods, that endears him to us. AMAZING care!
I have been a patience of Dr. Waltuck for over 8 years. He is by far the top doctor that I have seen over the last 20 years of treatment for RA. He truly cares. He is the best in Atlanta! I highly recommend him!
