In 1921 Bruce and Bob Walters opened a bicycle shop which in 1922 became a Harley Davidson dealer. In 1931 Bruce and his wife Gladys Walters moved from Galesburg to Peoria and they purchased Harley Davidson Sales and Service. In 1949 Bruce built a new store that was known as one of the most modern in Illinois at the time. We've visited the dealership a few times. Today we were in town and stopped by, on the way out of town my husbands bike broke down. We were stuck on the side of the highway. Called the dealership and OMG they jumped right into gear helping get us setup with Hog to get the tow setup through the shop, then they bent over backwards to get us back on the road.
