Fair and Friendly I went here after reading these reviews and others I found online when I started having brake problems. The staff was very courteous, I dropped my vehicle off in the morning and was given a shuttle ride back home. Got a call that afternoon giving me the necessary repairs and recommended extras, they broke down both prices at my request and I was able to get the service I needed that was affordable for me. I'm going back there for my car's 70k mile checkup, hopefully this experience will be just as fair...
Unhappy in Severn - I do not consider the service provided to me to have been quick, thorough or 'cost saving' - in any measure of the terms commonly thought-of. Had a 'Check Engine' light, so I made an appointment for Tuesday, and dropped the truck off early. No calls to me whatsoever that day, so finally I called them - to hear that the diagnosis PC/machine was not working, and they might get to it tomorrow... Walt Eger's Service Center is a pleasure! I also went to Walt's after reading the reviews here--after being disgusted by the conspicuous dearth of anything resembling an "honest mechanic" in this area. Honest, quick and reasonable prices I went to Walt's after reading the reviews here. I was doubtful but Randy was cheerful and helpful. Told me it might take two days to repair my BMW but they'd try to get it done in one day if they could get all the parts. Took the car in and dropped it off. Later called and asked if they'd look at other issues that my dealer had brought up. Turns out half of the items weren't necessary but Walt's folks found a few items that were very necessary in addition to what was previously identified... read more
Walt Eger I first went to Walt Egers' after a recommendation of a neighbor and seeing his commercials. This was due to the fact that the dealer wanted to charge me over $600 for fixing a power window and was rude. Walt did for just over $400. Because of his down to earthiness and honesty I have be going there ever since - taking both my cars for everything.
Walt Eger is the man!!! I was told about Walt Eger's garage a while back after having a problem with my van. I had just moved to Severn, MD and didn't know of any place that I could take my vehicle for repair. So, that suggestion that I take the van to Walt Eger's was taken with a grain of salt.
