Honest ! I have been going to Walt Eger for a short while now and I am very happy with there service. Last oil change I told them to do the brakes as I dont remember when if ever having them done, when I got the call brakes are fine and all the other services are up to date just needed oil and a light. How honest is that! Ill be back, now I know why so many have been going to Walt for so long.
WOW Able to FIX anything! These guys are great! I had a problem with my car and after 2 other shops could not fix it I was going to trade it in, a friend told me about Walt Eger so I though I'll let them try. When I dropped it off I talked directly to Walt and he put me at ease he said they would find the problem and I will not have to trade her in. I am happy to say Walt did as promised he found the problem then gave my car the ole once over and said everything looks good. I am so glad I found them A+
A true gentleman and professional!!! My last review on Walt Eger's Service Center was five years ago and as you can see I am still a dedicated customer of his. From the standard required vehicle maintenance to fixing the problems that come up on occassion, Walt and his team have done and continue to do a GREAT job. Scam artists!!!! They told me I needed a new starter and battery to get my car started. When I picked up my car they charged me for both. 541.00 dollars...For a starter and battery...C'mon now! I said ok, whatever, and paid...knowing I was never bringing my car back here. Then I go out to my car and check the work...The battery was never replaced...So...#1 they lied and told me I needed a new battery when I didnt, #2 charged me for it, #3 never even replaced it!!! Stay Away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always happy! I've been going to Walt's for many years. I started there b/c it was convenient to where I lived. Now I continue to go there because when I walk out the door after having paid, I don't feel as though I was ripped off. I find Walt's prices to be comparable to other service centers in the area but his customer service compares to no one else! Randy has always been very courteous and I hope he continues to work there for many more years to come. And I love that they have a courtesy van.
Over Priced lack of attention I took my car in for the 110k mile check up. I asked them to do a bunch of stuff and generally check the car over. They called me later that day with an estimate which was over $1,000. It sounded high for an Acura but it had been a while since I had my car in the shop. Go with the leader, see Walt Eger My car came to a shuddering halt and the brakes were smoking. I mean, they were really hot like a nuclear meltdown was taking place on the right front wheel! I have a 1984 Dodge 600 and it is in really good shape. I don't drive it much, so maybe I should have paid more attention to the brakes. I dunno. Jeepers, gas tank me a leaking! My jeep had a leak somewhere on the gas tank. Since it is 17 years old, i figured i would need a new gas tank. Well, no. Not really. It was just a silly hose that cost me $15 plus some labor time to install it. This shop is really honest because they could have easily sold me the whole kit and caboodle -- gas tank and all! And they were very friendly and nice to me, not talking down to me or acting like they were doing me a favor!
Extremely Happy in Odenton We have 6 vehicles in our family and we will bring them all to Walt's. We have tried other service places. They tried to sell me all sorts of work that did not need to be done(got a 2nd opinion). Walt is honest and stands behind their work and when he says something needs to be done (got a 2nd opinion), it really needed to be done. I now trust his shop with out the need to get a 2nd opinions.
