Thank you, Jamie!!! I originally went to the Walmart in Windsor Heights and received multiple pairs of glasses that I couldn't see well out of, even after they retested my prescription. Unfortunately, they were less than professional when I returned with concerns, so I requested a refund and came to the Walmart in Ames for a second opinion. I read the earlier reviews prior to going to this store for optical services, but decided to go anyway and see if anything had changed, since most of the reviews were rather old. I'm happy to report I didn't see hide nor hair of the lady w/the red/purple hair. Everyone there seemed very friendly and competent. Dr. Erick did a thorough job on the eye exam, explaining everything he was doing as we progressed through the exam. I had to return my glasses because the lenses were screwed up. They refunded my money but didn't turn that into my insurance company. They also did not give me the total discounts from my insurance. So I got different frames and lenses, but $462 later they still suck.
It depends on upon who you get to help you. Stay away from Elizah. All the others are great! Elizah was like a disgruntled depressed unhelpful robot. But I went the next day and got a guy who was super helpful and even put a rush on my glasses so I could have them before I went out of town, and they came way early and in time!
