Most Disrespectful Staff in Town I have lived in Athens since 2008 and have visited Walker's on several occasions. I actually had a drink that I would get on every visit. But, my visit on Feb 8th, 2014, will be my last. I ordered my drink and the the employee that took the order didn't know how to make it. Needless to say she messed it up and over priced it to. An honest Athens hangout – This downtown staple located on College Avenue is a Coffee shop by day and a bar at, well... all day as well. Walker's is a well rounded pub with knowledgeable bartenders and baristas, able to whip up amazing cappuccinos then pivoting to Old Fashioned cocktails without hesitation. GREAT IMPORTED BEER SELECTION, HOT COFFEE ALSO, AND LOW-KEY BAR ATMOSPHERE – This bar had great selection with the bonus of a coffee shop built right in! The atmosphere was nice, music selection good with access to t.v. viewing from bar. This place was not over-crowded, though it is a downtown bar. We will definitely be back!
Walkers Coffee Shop and Pub This is a cute little place in downtown Athens where you can find a quiet corner to study or catch up with a friend. They offer many different types of drinks at a good price. My personal favorites are the apple cider and hot chocolate. The service was friendly and I would definitely recommend it to go and hang out.
Great Coffee Walker's offers great coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and beer. The coffee and foods are all reasonably priced and definitely worth the money. They offer several bottled beers including Terrapin, and a few beers on tap, Guinness most notably. They also have a small, but discerning selection of wines.
