went there yesterday to meet with some friends! we all arrived at the same time and before i could even open my backpack up to get my mask and koney out to go inside, this big tall guy comes out and runs us off! says someone reported us for begging for money!!! we had just arrived and that can be proven on cameras outside! we had not even been there long enough to talk to each other ket alone anyone else! #homelesslivesmatter

THIS PLACE HAS NO CUSTOMER OR EMPLOYEE SAFEGUARDS. THEY HAVEN’T EVEN TALKED TO EMPLOYEES ABOUT SAFEGUARDS, NO PLANS FOR PLEXI SNEEZE GUARDS, etc. I ASKED HOW OFTEN THEIR CARTS WERE BEING CLEANED & TGE CASHIER ROLLSD HIS EYES AND SAID, “OH, PROBABLY A COUPLE OF TIMES A DAY.” But the makeup department has a brand new No. 7 merchandising table. There were 3 employees stocking totally non-essential merchandise on the shelves. Cleaning is more vital. Not being done.
i had a pharmicist actually drive his personal vehicle on his lunch break to pick up asthma meds from another store for my young son. He is an adult now and Walgreens is the only pharmacy for me. Most recently the pharmacist called to see how I was doing with two new meds. Love Walgreens.
6 hours to get prescription. Waiting for doctors authorization was on my text. The doctor submitted the prescription while I was standing there. A secured website and they needed more authorization, from him? I don't think so. Called to speak to store manager. Girl gave me his name but no luck getting him on phone. Sounds like maybe I found the problem. My observation and conclusions are that they have more business than they can handle in a Timely Manner, understaffed, and not Supervised Properly. Was in and out in no time. Manager was very helpful even though they didn’t have what we needed. Still bought a few things and the line wasn’t bad.
Shout out to Katrina at the Walgreen's Pharmacy on 61st in Galveston!!! She went beyond expectations a few moments ago to help make certain my son got his medications filled!!! She is an excellent example of the caliber of people and employee that this world needs. I am officially nominating her as my Kindness Queen for the day.
This is the absolute WORST PHARMACY I have ever dealt with! The pharmacy department is completely incompetent!! They don't even know how to send your medication to a different pharmacy! No one trust them with your prescriptions!!
