Dear mall administration: I'm not so sure you can legally fine your retail tenants for not opening on a federal holiday -- unless it's in their rental agreements, then shame on you for including that anyway -- without them claiming breach of contract. I've urged local attorneys to reach out to your renters to take legal action. I'd strongly urge you not do what published reports are claiming you'll do on Thanksgiving. Best of luck, now your move.

So disappointed that the mall would put profits over family on Thanksgiving. Are those few hours really going to make you that much money? There is no reason to open the mall at 6 PM. I will no longer be shopping at the Galleria.

Generally a favorite mall in the area. Their recent forcing of retailers to open on thanksgiving or face fines puts them now on the bottom. Profit is not everything, shame on them for this act of greed, and for embarrassing Western New York with this negative national media . Pathetic.
