If I could give him no stars I would. I was diagnosed with RA about 4 years ago and he would belittle me when I said I was in pain. He would say I am young and older people have worse cases than mine and just made me feel like I was a hassle. Then I had a fall and we got it on video and everything. I made an appointment with him because I was in so much pain. He did an ultrasound and said he saw blood pooling up and he SENT ME HOME TO TAKE A BATH! 3 years later the pain got worse and I went into upper valley because i refuse... read more
I felt that Dr Walaliyadda showed a predisposition to diagnose my condition as Rheumatoid Arthritis without adequate consideration of other likely diagnoses. As it turns out I do have another condition which was subsequently diagnosed by two other physicians and requires a different treatment than RA. Perhaps what bothered me most was a total reluctance on his part to discuss his diagnosis. It was as though he was insulted that anyone could question his opinion-very rude-poor communication.
It's been a slow and frustrating process with finding an effective treatment. I can appreciate the reviews where people felt like numbers because I felt the same way. That is, until I actually voiced my concerns and frustrations. Since then they have done a great job at really paying more attention and addressing concerns or questions. It's not going to be fast and/or easy to find a medication and treatment when it's supposed take up to 4 months to figure out if medication are being effective.
I took my Mom to Dr Walaliyadda. He diagnosed her with RA, strictly from her x-ray. He diagnosed on the first visit. He put her on methotrexate. It made her very ill. She tried calling multiple times a day to get help. She kept getting a machine. She left messages over and over. Finally, I got her an appointment with the rheumatologist that I was seeing. He looked at her x-ray and wondered what nut diagnosed. She had Scoliosis & Spinal Stenosis. No RA! Saw a spine spc, instead.
Very kind and caring staff and nurses. They go the extra mile to help and make you feel comfortable. They helped my husband from not being able to get out of bed to being active again. The doctor is very conservative which I appreciate because he doesn't want to prescribe anything without knowing the full background first. The nurse, Marilee is exceptional - very kind and helpful. Thank you for all you do.
Awful. He will put you through his PA and assistants to give you a diagnosis that has nothing to do with what they've done. Then he'll treat you for a condition with chemotherapy for a month then completely take back his diagnosis without worrying how you'll take it.
Would not recommend as it felt like I was just a number and a payheck.
I was having pain in my hands and fingers. They gave me a complete exam and found that I had R arthritis and crystalyn Gout. The treatment that they gave me worked very well. I have been with them for over two years and am doing very well. I could not ask for better treatment.
