My girlfriend spoke with someone named David just now regarding renting a townhome. She mentioned having an emotional support animal. He immediately said, "it doesn't matter, they're not recognized under the ADA. Good luck with your search," and hung up. I don't mind his position, but hanging up on someone before they could ask any other questions is rude. What kind of customer service is that?
I called trying to request a tour, and mentioned that I have a certified emotional support animal directly off the bat since the property we wanted to tour doesn't allow dogs. Before I was able to say anything else, David said, "Well, those aren't recognized by the ADA so good luck in your search," and hung up before I could even ask anything else.
