Waffallonia specializes in serving authentic Liège waffles. These are the waffles that Belgians eat and are very different than the Americanized Belgian waffles. Liège waffles are denser because they are made from dough rather than batter, and they contain pearl sugar from Belgium. These waffles are truly something else! You can't call yourself a Pittsburgher until you've been here at least once. BE PREPARED: They're INSANELY sweet, and they're a surprising amount of food! I would highly recommend getting one with ice cream! It's a great combo.
Waffle was uncooked on the inside. A disgusting mess. Expensive waste. The guy's only job is to cook the waffles and put toppings on. He should care enough to get it right. It is a tiny space with only two tables. Difficult to be a customer.
Amazing waffles are served in this place. Ice creams like Banana Pudding are good, there are limited options on ice creams but multiple options for waffles. I would say waffles are must try at this place.
