This was the worst psychiatrist I have ever had, I have had 4 different over the course of my mental health journey. He overprescribed me medication and it made me worse!!!! I recommend not going to him.

After reading several reviews of Dr Murad I was very nervous to meet with him but after meeting with him for the past few months I see most of the reviews are not at all correct. Dr Murad has been very kind and I would recommend him to anyone who is need of a gentle caring and knowledgeable Dr. with the help I received from Dr Murad my life has improved and I am grateful.
I was pleased after reading his credentials, then concerned after reading the reviews. Dr. Murad was not scary and there was no cause for concern. He seemed to be patient and thorough. The time spent worrying was for nothing, the reviews did not reflect reality. Dr. Murad was professional and appeared to be caring and not at all rushed or other things that were in the reviews. I look forward to benefitting from being his patient.
Dr. Murad will let your prescription lapse and refuse to issue refills until you've seen him for an appointment (often for weeks). THIS IS DANGEROUS. You cannot go off medication cold-turkey. You are just another number to him. I've been on the same medication/dosage for over a year, and was unable to get refills on multiple occasions. It's literally a 2 minute appointment with a robot asking you if you're "doing good." Please go somewhere else. This doctor, and the office staff have no concern for your well-being.
My son met with him for the first and last time last week. We went with him to manage his ADHD meds while in college because as a practice, it's highly rated, and accepts our insurance. However, my son was so turned off by Murad's dismissive attitude and demeanor, his denigration of my son's home providers, and after talking to him for less than 30 minutes, told my kid what was wrong with him (in those terms!) that had nothing to do with the reason for the consultation. Horrible, rude, and doesn't care about his patients. Let my daughter's antidepressant prescription run out three times with no regard for her wellbeing. Thinks his time is more valuable than anything, hung up on my daughter because I stepped away for five minutes (she's 17). UNSAFE PRACTICES - do yourself a favor and find someone else to see.
Worst Dr.I have ever seen
this guy is awful at caring about his patients. all my appointments have felt rushed and he is so condescending. every appointment I have with him I end up feeling worse. it doesn't feel like he cares at all and any input you give him about how you feel is responded with "Im the doctor I know better". if you have the option of another psychiatrist, go with someone else. thanks to insurance im stuck with him
