I met him when I was a child with depression and he laughed at my problems to my face. He said that my problems were all in my head and was very invalidating. He did not provide adequate professional care, and instead often talk to me about unrelated things such as my dreams that I had while I slept rather than actually trying to teach me coping mechanisms or helping me figure out my way through life. It is disturbing that the reviews for this man are not a lower rating. He is not the therapist you want.

Wadie Alkhouri treated my daughter at a treatment facility and upon asking me for verbal approval for psychiatric meds neglected to enter the correct in her file. Thankfully I called to check why she hadn’t received her meds and they figured out the wrong rx was in her file. He neglected to follow proper protocol when releasing her and communicating with me about the prescriptions needed over the weekend and then refused to call in the missing med. because it “was not safe”. I hope he at least treats his voluntary patients (if he has any) better than those unfortunate enough to have the displeasure of having to stroke his ego in order to gain their freedom from the psych ward. This man barely looked me in the face once during any of our visits, hardly cared to listen to or understand anything deeper than a one-word response to "did you take your medication?" I can't express how thankful my family is for all of Dr. Alkhouri help through the years. My family member is healthy and happy because of years of care with this doctor. Dr. Alkhouri many years of experience has not made him indifferent he is professional and kind to all of us. Thank God for him!
