Ms. My father went in with a crown another dentist had put in that kept falling out, he wanted it to be put in correctly. So they fitted his tooth for a crown, did an x-ray (that doesnt show the root of the tooth), and told him he had a tooth he didnt need and that they would remove it. They gave him some pain meds to take before the removal, and then removed it at the next appointment and put in the reshaped temporary crown.
